HORSE SPONSORSHIP and APPLICATION
Horse sponsorship is one of the ways to help an abused or unwanted horse. Imagine selecting a horse that you will be able to spend time with during your visits. Perhaps you have selected a horse for adoption and you are not ready to take the horse home. You may sponsor the horse until you are ready to complete your adoption.
Sponsorship may apply to a horse that has some temporary or permanent disabilities and will need to stay with PHEF indefinitely. Your help in supporting a horse that may not be able to live a totally normal life would be a meaningful experience for you and the horse.
Sponsorships come from loving people who care about a specific horse and want to make sure that the horse’s needs are met on a monthly basis. A sponsorship can be 1 person, 2 people or more. The sponsors may not even know each other or may even live in another state. You and a friend could share the sponsorship or perhaps your family would like to sponsor a horse or your place of work. You must be 18 or older to sponsor a horse at PHEF.
In a sponsorship arrangement the horse benefits, the sponsor benefits because the donation is tax deductible because PHEF is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. You will receive a thank you receipt for your donations.
